Leather vs. Suede

Leather is the smooth outer side of the skin, robust and with a visible texture. Suede is the roughened inner side — velvety, matte, more sensitive to moisture, but softer from the very first wear. Technical Detail

The difference between leather and suede lies in which side of the animal hide is processed: leather uses the smooth outer side, while suede uses the rough inner side. Both are genuine materials, not coatings.
